Finding God

The heartwarming book Finding God, by Claudia Azizah Seise, is a collection of stories about individuals’ journeys to discover Allah. The stories feature a diverse range of people’s quest for the meaning of life and their embracing of Islam. Through the forty stories of forty people across the globe, we see how God guides those who seek Him. 

  

The stories show how people’s hearts opened and how they underwent spiritual growth. They gave me an overwhelming sense of thankfulness and pride. I am thankful to be on such a beautiful path and proud of the bravery shown by these converts in choosing a way of life different from the one they grew up with. 

 

The book reinforces the idea that things do not happen by coincidence but rather through divine power. The more I read, the more I was struck by stories of new converts receiving dreams that revealed the direction of the qibla or witnessing angels helping people during natural disasters. I felt emotional reading these accounts. Indeed, the guidance we receive is indeed a divine gift.

 

I hope all find comfort and solace in this book as it settles the heart and confirms we are part of a blessed religion.
