Deborah Marcero is the author-illustrator of several picture books, including In a Jar, My Heart is a Compass, and Rosie & Crayon, as well as the emerging readers series Haylee and Comet. Having worked on many children’s books, Deborah has a passion for storytelling in many media. Faculty at Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults, she has a BFA from the University of Michigan, an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and K-8 teaching certification from Northwestern University. --This text refers to the hardcover edition.
