Class Description: 
Anse Tasneem will lead students twice a week through a practical course including practice reading the Arabic letters, harakat (short vowels), and mastery of the skill of decoding. This class is for beginners who have no prior knowledge or have learned the Arabic letters and would like to review them.

Students will learn the Nuraniyyah method of decoding Quranic script, learn the types of Arabic sounds and how to pronounce them correctly, and be introduced to the foundations of the science of tajwīd. 

These skills will be put into practice in class with the instructor, and students will gain strategies to practice at home. By the end of this course, students should be able to recognize all the Arabic letters and vowel sounds with ease and be able to pronounce most of them correctly while improving their general speed and fluency while reading short words and phrases.
