The Lion and the Mouse is one of Aesop's Fables, retold in Somali language. A lion caught a tiny mouse to kill her but he finally spared the tiny creature. The mouse later came to rescue the troubled lion by freeing him from a poacher's trap. The moral of the story: A good act gets its return. The book is designed to encourage readers on Somali vocabulary learning and to relate new words to their prior knowledge and experience.
